Fredericia Teater presents a spectacular production of Disney’s Musical TARZAN.
Fredericia Teater’s production of Disney’s Musical TARZAN will have its Danish premiere in Fredericia on the 5th of October 2018. From the end of November 2019,the musical can be experienced at the newly renovated Falkoner Salen in Copenhagen. Ticket sales will open at 10.00am on Thursday the 23rd of November 2017.
Fredericia Teater can now reveal its next big musical. It will be the theatre’s fourth collaboration with Disney after the three great musical successes the theatre has had with Disney’s ALADDIN –The Musical, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID – The Musical and lastly Disney’s THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME – The Musical, which combined to sell more than 375,000 tickets. Next fall, the theatre will create a spectacular version of Disney’s Musical TARZAN, which will premiere at Fredericia Teater on the 5th of October 2018. The musical will then perform in Copenhagen at the newly renovated Falkoner Salen from the 29th of November 2019.
About Disney’s Musical TARZAN
With music and lyrics by Academy Award and sevenfold Grammy Award winner Phil Collins, Fredericia Teater presents a magnificent version of Disney’s Musical TARZAN. The musical is based on Chris Buck and Kevin Lima’s animated film interpretation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic about the human child Tarzan, who grows up among the gorillas in the West African rain forest. Disney’s Musical TARZAN includes the well known songs of Phil Collins from the animated feature film’s Grammy-winning soundtrack including the Academy Award and Golden Globe-awarded hit single “You’ll Be in My Heart”. The musical is written by David Henry Hwang.
Disney’s Musical TARZAN is developed by Disney Theatrical Productions. The show premiered on Broadway at Richard Rodgers Theatre on 10th of May 2006, making it the first Disney Theatrical Productions’ musical to premiere at Broadway without a single out-of-town tryout. Fredericia Teater’s production of Disney’s Musical TARZAN will mark the first time this musical has been seen in Denmark.
The animated feature film on which the musical is based premiered in cinemas in 1999. The movie had huge success in Denmark and sold more than 672,000 tickets, which makes it the second best selling Disney animated feature film domestically since 1999.
Major excitement in Fredericia and at Disney
